I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again: a Canadian Rockies golf trip is the best summer golf trip. The video explaining this is linked below, but the TLDR version is, there''s delicious food, plenty of activities for the whole family, and the golf is spectacular. It’s budget friendly because the US dollar is strong on the Canadian dollar. Did I mention I saw a bear? I saw a bear.

A note on seasonality: June - Labor Day is the right time to go.

Canadian Rockies - The Best Summer Golf Trip

Day 1

Fly into Calgary, rent a car, drive to Kananaskis (cannon-ass-kiss), check into the Kananaskis Mountain Lodge (it’s a Marriott).

Day 2

Play Kananaskis Mount Kidd course in the morning.

Either play the Mount Lorette course in the afternoon or go to the Nordic Spa at the hotel. The Spa is outdoors with lots of different soaking pools and saunas. Very cool experience for both couples and golf trips alike.

Day 3

Play Banff Springs

Check into lodging in either Banff or Canmore. I’ve stayed in both. Canmore is more Canadian, Banff is highly international.

Day 4

Play Stuart Creek

Day 5

Play Silver Tip

This is most skip-able of all the courses mentioned, but it has great views.

Day 6

Travel home
