My mom is from Michigan, so I grew up hopping over (or usually around) the lake to enjoy the beauty of this state every year. More recently, I heard whispers that golf scene in Michigan was vastly underrated, and I can now confirm the validity of that rumor. While Arcadia Bluffs is certainly on the national radar, it took some digging to find these gems (and I thin Michiganers like it that way). I’ve made a few adjustments from my own itinerary to what I would actually recommend (below), but there’s truly so much golf up there. Boyne alone has 10 courses to choose from. No matter what you choose, you’re bound to enjoy Pure Michigan.

Pro-tip: if you go in June, you’ll take advantage of being in the westernmost part of the eastern time zone. The sun doesn’t set until about 10PM, so fitting in 36 holes is easy.
